It´s an honour to have been asked to help this wonderful charity (Help Vega Baja) by being their ambassador (I´m hoping that means I get to eat lots of Ferrero Rocher, but I have a feeling they might want me to do more than just that).
Help Vega Baja is a wonderful local charity that does so much for vulnerable people, their carers, the elderly, the ill and disabled in this part of Spain. If you don´t need their help now, that´s great, but there might be a day when you need their assistance, so if you live here or visit regularly, we urge you to consider becoming a member. It´s only 10 euros per year and the benefits in time of need to you could far exceed that. They have an office and charity shop (some great bargains to be had!) on Calle Lope de Vega in San Miguel, and also a Help Desk in La Marina. (https://helpvegabaja.com/index.php/about-us/membership). They organise various fund-raising and social events, including a car treasure hunt which is coming up soon (see photos below for more details!). ¡Viva Help Vega Baja!
