The Generalitat will decide tomorrow if it tightens restrictions to stop the pandemic

The president of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, has called for this Tuesday a meeting of the Interdepartmental Table for Prevention and Action against the  coronavirus , in which the latest data will be analyzed and the possibility of applying new measures will be addressed . It will be then when the Generalitat  decides whether to tighten the restrictions  already applied to stop the advance of the coronavirus in the Valencian Community.

The meeting, which will begin at ten in the morning, comes after in recent days the Valencian Community  has broken records of infections  and deaths from the coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic, such as the 3,590 positive cases on 29 February December or the 70 dead a day later.

Likewise, in the absence of the data update this Monday, the Valencian Community currently has the highest number of hospitalized in the second wave, 1,865, of which 293 are in the ICU (the third highest figure of this wave ), while the accumulated incidence at fourteen days is the highest of the pandemic, with 390.73 cases per one hundred thousand inhabitants.
