This was announced by Puig on Tuesday after chairing the Interdepartmental Table for Prevention and Action against covid-19 , in which the latest data on the pandemic in the Valencian Community have been analyzed and new measures have been adopted.

Puig has justified the new restrictions in that the situation of the pandemic in the Region is "serious" and "difficult" and transmission is growing "exponentially", which requires a "strong, weighted and immediate" response from the Consell .

On the other hand, the Minister of Health, Ana Barceló, has specified that sociocultural activities that involve concentration of people are not allowed: shows, popular celebrations or exhibition of animals (among others). The 30% limit on the capacity of shops also applies to the parking and parking areas and the following are outside this capacity limit: supermarkets, pharmacies, veterinarians, opticians, hairdressers and orthopedics.

On the other hand, the hostelry (bars and restaurants) closing time is brought forward at 5:00 p.m. and Barceló has specified that the activity will begin at the time allowed by their license, provided that the curfew is observed. The motorway service areas are exempt from time limitations. In addition, it will not be possible to smoke outdoors, the tables of the catering establishments will be of maximum 4 people and all the infantile and primary sports competitions are suspended.

Likewise, the councillor has explained that transmission values are still very high. The positivity of the tests has increased: we are at 29.57% compared to 18.8% on December 16 ".
